Hi, I'm Henry.

I’m a Charlotte, North Carolina–based freelance photographer with over three decades of experience behind the lens. Photography has been a constant in my life—shaping the way I observe, anticipate, and capture moments with intention and restraint.

My work spans a wide range of disciplines, including family portraiture, commercial and food advertising, architecture and real estate, as well as event and wedding photography. I approach each project with a photojournalistic sensibility, focusing on authentic, unscripted moments that reveal story, emotion, and atmosphere. The images I create are designed to feel timeless—crafted with an understanding of both classic composition and contemporary visual culture.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me on the tennis court, on the golf course, training for my next race, or immersed in Charlotte’s vibrant art scene. I cherish spending time with my wife, our baby, and our rough-haired collie, Georgia. I’m equally inspired by the city’s evolving culinary landscape and a well-made drink—whether that’s a bold red wine, a hoppy IPA, or a classic bourbon Manhattan.
